The Storm
Today’s Word
In today’s Gospel, the disciples are freaking out in a storm while Jesus is asleep in the boat. They wake him up: “Don’t you care that we’re going to die?”
Real Talk
That panic when everything feels out of control — the test you bombed, the friend who ghosted you, the future you can’t figure out — it’s real. Jesus doesn’t pretend the storm isn’t happening. But he’s in the boat with you. That changes things.
One Prayer
Jesus, I don’t know what I’m doing half the time. Help me trust that you’re in the boat with me, even when it doesn’t feel like it. Amen.
